Creamy smoked queso loaded with beef, tomatoes, peppers and Minnezona House Seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Minnezona House Seasoning
  • 1 lb processed melting cheese, cubed
  • 8 oz pepper jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chiles, drained
  • 1 jalapeño, diced
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro

Directions

  1. Brown ground beef with House Seasoning and drain excess grease.
  2. Combine beef, both cheeses, tomatoes, jalapeño and milk in a disposable foil pan.
  3. Smoke uncovered at 250°F for 60 minutes.
  4. Stir thoroughly, then continue smoking 20–30 minutes until smooth and fully melted.
  5. Stir in cilantro. Add a splash of milk if a thinner consistency is desired.
  6. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Recipe Notes

  • Keep queso above 140°F while serving.
  • Freshly shredded pepper jack melts more smoothly than pre-shredded cheese.
  • Add milk gradually when reheating.
