Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon Minnezona House Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¾ cup ketchup, divided
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed sheet pan with parchment or foil.
  2. Combine panko and milk in a large bowl and let stand 5 minutes.
  3. Add beef, eggs, onion, House Seasoning, Worcestershire and ¼ cup ketchup. Mix gently just until combined.
  4. Shape into a free-form loaf on the prepared pan.
  5. Mix remaining ½ cup ketchup with brown sugar and mustard. Spread half over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake 40 minutes, add remaining glaze, then bake 15–20 minutes more until the center reaches 160°F.
  7. Rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Recipe Notes

  • Do not overmix the meat mixture.
  • A free-form loaf browns better than one packed into a loaf pan.
  • Ground beef should reach 160°F before resting.
